'74 280C Head Stuck!
I am taking the head off to replace a blown head gasket (between #5 and #6). No comments on my sanity. Everything removed per the manual and I just removed the 14 head bolts but the head won't budge.
Any suggestions on where to apply force? Thanks in advance, Ed |

74 Head Stcuk
Yup. Took them out but still stuck. My floor jack is now pushing up on the right side camshaft housing and lifting the engine ~ 2". I'll let it sit over night. Thanks for the tip.

Could it be the bolt on the side for the distributor?
The distributor housing has a bolt that goes thru the corner of the head at that inside corner as I recall.
There's also another bolt on the outside of the timing chain cavity where a ground strap is usually connected. |
