Clutch master assy. help please?
I need to reassemble the clutch master cylinder on the 1968 Mercedes 200d. I got it already completely disassembled and can't figure it out. The parts are piston with seal, thin brass washer and long tapered spring with a cup on the small end. Does anyone have a book, a breakdown drawing or knowledge of how this goes together? I put the piston on then the washer below it and the spring with the wide end facing the piston and it doesn't work. Thanks, Paul
If you have a drawing you can fax it to me at 337-837-2302 |

The setup is basically the same for many models:
First goes in the spring with the rubber cap pointing to the top(piston).Between the spring rubber cap and the piston is the thin washer, then the piston with the rubber seal, the thick stop washer and the lock ring. Picsit`s a G-klasse 240GD-om616) http://www.hehlhans.de/engtipp16.htm Good luck,it`s easy...the bleeding however is not. |
