I recently had to install a seatbelt in the back of my 1973 220D, for a baby seat.
The price for a Mercedes belt (three point) was in the region of US $300, so I went down to the local auto shop and paid US $20 for a lap type model. All the holes were in the right places, the bolts were the right size and it came with full instructions, diagrams etc. I can only assume that the Mercedes belts would be equally user friendly to install, althought the instructions are probably in German. The ratchet part of the belt goes behind the backseat if I remember rightly, but don't quote me on that. Good luck.
