560SEC price
Would $3.600:00 for an 87 560SEC with 160K on it that's got split leather seats and a sticker claiming "runs good" on it be right? wrong? etc...

They are beautiful cars. Very expensive when new (like $80,000 in 1986 Dollars), but for some reason, did not retain a lot of value. Its sad because they run great, had state of the art fit and finish, and had a solid, powerful silky motor. I'd say that if the only cosmetic issue is the seats, and the mechanicals and body are otherwise good, thats a very good price to buy one at.

Get A PPI!!!
Get a thorough PPI (pre-purchase inspection). The price sounds a bit too good. Check for rust, suspension, SLS, and for a timing chain/guide rail job at a minimum. If these have not been done, prepare to do them as they are likely due along with all the other stuff most cars need at this point.
They are great cars, but can be thirsty for $1000s if not well kept. This is not to say there are not some good deals on the market at the moment. Do your due diligence. Worth looking into at any rate. Any pics?
