1972 280se 4.5 custom exhaust
Hi , here are some pics of my car and
my new custom build rear muffler made out of stainless steel. The other pipes made out of stainless steel are coming soon. I already put a pertronix ignitor II and flamethrower II coil in. The car runs awesome now! Lots of power anytime I put the pedal down. I have also installed a rpm gauge from a 300sel 6.3 which i like more than the original clock. http://www.focusforum.de/bilder/w108/exhaust/5.jpg http://www.focusforum.de/bilder/w108/exhaust/1.jpg http://www.focusforum.de/bilder/w108/exhaust/2.jpg http://www.focusforum.de/bilder/w108/exhaust/3.jpg http://www.focusforum.de/bilder/w108/exhaust/4.jpg |

it´s a man near cologne germany who makes these on special order...
|
So did you import that car from the US? Nice ride, nice muffler!

yes, i sold my focus svt this summer and bought two 280se 4.5, one 220seb coupé and one 280sec coupé in the states
and shipped them here to germany. the wiring of the 6.3 rpm gauge is very easy. green wire goes to the negative terminal of the coil and red wire goes to (i hope this is translated right) "ignition switched positive". greetz arne |

Great looking exhaust. What size outlets are those (how many inches or cm)?

i´m just coming out of my garage. exhaust is ready and now the car has a little more V8 sound.
exhaust tips are 2" or 51mm like the complete system is now. |
