Radiator, 1973, 1972, 280se 4.5 Mercedes
Hello Guys... You Mean To Tell Me Their Is Not A Radiator For This Particular Model, In The Whole Entire World. God Is That Vintage Or What. This Car Belongs In Some Kind Of Historical Building, Or Something. (man). Priceless. Thanks Guys.

Have you checked the dealer? A local radiator shop should be able to fab something up. Worst case scenario is that you buy a racing aluminum radiator.

There are a few parts recyclers on the left coast that have tons of 108/109 vehicles. Any of them should have a radiator for you. Does your current one leak from the seam? Mine did, and I was able to solder it myself, lasted about 1-2 years until I tried resoldering a pinhole leak and lost the seal job on it, then I was able to get a replacement (since at the time I had nowhere to redo it at my apartment). I would easily be able to resolder a leaky one now that I have my own place again. All you need is to clean the old paint off the seam extremely well, use a copious amount of flux and solder it until it's smooth! It takes a lot of solder.

i think you and i are in a similar boat. i have a very early 450se that needs a radiator and my only replacement option is the dealer and they want >$1000.00. i only PAID $1000.00 for my entire car! i'm going to have the bite the bullet soon and have been saving my pennies...i feel you pain. |
you should be able to find a used one, join the w108 yahoo group, i think there are a couple of parts car owners.

Check E-bay
There was a brand new radiator for a 450 W108 in 'E-bay Stores' last month.
