Euro import 1977 280SEL of mine from years ago had the motors intact, arms and blades musta been ditched when converted to US headlights on import. Car was 100% Euro with fabric seats and 4-spd trans coupled with the fastest m110 engine I've ever seen. If nothing else, 1977 will help benchmark years of availability in your parts search.

US cars didn't have wipers on the headlights. The clusters were not suited.
Euro imports may/may not have the wipers, but if they were properly federalized, that is, the headlights were changed out, you may still have the motors/shafts and the washer system installed on the car. This is how my 84 280SL is configured. I've found a set of euro lights, just need to procure a set of arms and blades to get it working. Jim

Thats right and just for grins try pricing wiper arms new - titanium little bastards probly $250 each...... Legendary 116 lore: all titanium steel wiper arms, nobody knows why unless the parts are shared with aircraft like F-14 fighter jets.
