W115 interior ?
Hello, if anyone can help me track down a complete interior for a 1976 300d, I dont care about color. I need front/rear seats, door skins, dash and center console, 30yrs of Georgia sun has taken it's toll, I purchased this car to replace my 1984 300dt that the shop set on fire, so my funds were a little low so I settled on this arrow straight/rust free/great running W115 with a sun baked interior. I'm in Connecticut and the car is in my garage, no more Imported Care Care for me, I'll provide the elbow grease this time. So any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Try "ALL Mercedes" at Stamford CT, Vintage MB specialist with warehouse of parts/cars somewhere on Long Island NY. Figure decent deal at/near $500 for entire interior. And older 114/115 interior like from 1968-72 is better than newer. Safety freaks outlawed flamable horsehair seat pad glue circa '73, resulting in floppier seats from then 'til 1977. Obviously your classic rust free 300D/8 is worth restoring.

I had corresponded with this seller...his email is info@benzboys.com He seemed to have lots of parts and was willing to sell only what was needed but this looks to be just what you're looking for...good luck.

Agreed, but there are a few differences when installing an earlier interior into a later car. Front door panels will have the vent window knob hole, and the profile of the top rail is different to allow for the deletion of the vent window on the 74 and up cars. Tex/vinyl graining is different also. Jim

You might see if there's a 'Pick-N-Pull' up your way. The one in Virginia Beach I've shopped at had most of a W123 240D interior, as well as a complete W114 280 interior (though that one was leather and the seats were shot) They charge a fixed price for most parts, regardless of make & model. I got an excellent passenger seat and a fair driver's seat (good pads, but couple of small cuts) for $14 each! Downside is the import section is relatively small, and they only keep a vehicle 30 days. So if you don't get all you need on the day you visit, the car may be gone the next.
Happy Motoring, Mark

Also, for those looking for W108 parts, the same Pick-N-Pull has a '72 280SEL 4.5. Grille, radio, instrument cluster and heater contols gone. As of Thursday 02-12-2009, it still had most of the other stuff, including fntend, engine, tranny & rear end. Medium metallic green with a black Tex interior. Lower body pretty rusty. Happy Motoring, Mark

I have a whole palomino 1976 300D that you could have the interior. The problem is that I am in Wisconsin and the car is in LA and you're in Georgia....

Hey, diametricalbenz I would love to get some of the parts from that 1976 300D, but I need you to either post or send me photos of the front driver or passenger interior panels. Also I am in Pennsylvania not in Georgia.
