My fuel pump is fried on my 72 280SEL 4.5 I tried rebuilding it, but it won't turn. Does anyone out there have a good used pump for sale? I just need to find one good enough to get the car running and don't feel like shelling out the bucks for a new one until I can see the condition of the engine, etc.
Any help appreciated.

Bosch 0 580 064 005 is the one I have, but as long as it is for a 4.5 EFI I guess it doesn't matter what it is. You can email me at cmcdonnell@uswest.net
Thanks!!!

Well, that didn't work out, so I am still looking for a working fuel pump if anyone has one.

Some Fords use a hi pressure fuel pump. I got mine free out of their garbage can; they fail to hold back pressure but are fine to use when fitted to a solder filled 'T' drilled out for proper pressure and flow. The "T" is for bypass. I've used this on my 70 280 SEL for years now.

I have one, used from a 280 sel 4.5. Make me an offer.

Or, a place in CA called Global Automotive Parts Access (Dismantler) should have one.
