Intermediate Bearing support
I had my driveshaft on my 111 3.5 coupe rebuilt a few years ago but never installed because my restoration has not got that far. When removed it had the Asymetrical donuts (2 on my car-three piece driveshaft) and when it came back from being rebuilt it had the round donuts. What is the impact of using the incorrect donut? I never gave it any thought until I read this post. Can the donuts be replaced with out dissasembling the driveshaft? I had it rebuilt at a very well known German driveshaft rebuilder and I would not have thought they would have used the incorrect donuts.
Tks, Tony

My Bad
My bad-upon closer observation I realized they are the correct donuts-installed with the thick side down. The driveshaft is on a shelf with a bunch of stuff in front of it and I did not have a good view.
BTW-if anyone needs their driveshaft rebuilt I highly recomend “Driveline Service of Portland’. They specialize in German vehicles.
