Is this '58 MB worth 500 bucks?

I saw this (a 1958 190) while browsing in craigslist Miami listings: http://miami.craigslist.org/car/652421089.html
"4 cylinder engine cylindercapacity: 1897 cc. capacity: 105 bhp. at 5700 rpm. top-speed: 107 mph. - 170 km/h. This car has not been running for about two years, until I bought it. It is a four speed manual transmission and requires a bit of elbow grease. I has a ton of potential to be a nice collectors car. Floor boards are good and a little bit of rust on the hood but overall a great car for those mercedes benz collectors" I likely won't dive into this project, but who knows... someone out there may want this classic. |
500$ sounds good if it is not a rust bucket, drives, stops, and turns.

It's a scam ad trying to get you to ebay so the poster gets referral money.

Where's the swindle? Looks like an amazing bargain. He's crazy about 107mph though, closer to 85-90 top speed.
190b gasoline ponton once held Guiness record for high mileage, was somewhere around 900k miles on the same engine. Cairo taxi cab if memory serves me well. |
