Pic of my 1979 300D

Here she is. I took this pic last weekend. I had the windows tinted and I polished the stainless hubcaps. A fresh coat of Astral silver is in her near future. I just bought a parts car to donate all the trim pieces I need to finish her up. Paul

Yes, they are on the right side. I stripped them seconds after opening the package. I then polished them on the bench buffer and they look great! I do not think I will repaint the wheel covers as I like them shiny. Thanks for sending those! Paul

With your color of car, the naked wheel covers look great; you done good!

How long will the tint on the windows last, and what's the process?

Thanks for the compliment. The tint should last many moons. It will not see sun every day. I did 35% all around. That's not quite legal here but not drastic enough to attract attention. To make it easier on the tint guys and not have them mess up my inner door panel squeegees I removed all four door panels for them. That allowed them to get the tint well under there. Cost around $130.00 to get it done. Paul
