'72 280SE: Me vs. the Transmission, and questions.

I spent a few hours each day this weekend trying to swap in the used transmission on this car.

I'm not the first one to have the transmission out, as I'm finding lots of stuff disconnected.

The throttle lever on the right side of the trans wasn't connected to the linkage. As such, I don't have any hardware for it.

Question: Is there just a nut on that little threaded stud, or something more complex.

The replacement transmission has two solenoids on the right side, but the one that's coming out only has one. Since I found the terminal block that's normally on the side of the transmission zip-tied to one of the cooler lines up near the front crossmember, I'm hoping I can find the wiring for the other solenoid in there somewhere. The kickdown switch on the firewall was unplugged as well.

But the transmission is still in the car...I couldn't move the driveshaft enough to get that centering pin clear of the output yoke on the transmission.

[EDIT: Found the answer to that one...off to get myself a 46mm wrench.]

Also, a question remaining from my last post:
I have the O-ring that goes behind the front pump, but it's not obvious how to get that center section of the pump out. Does it come out without pulling the whole front of the case off? As that requires more gaskets than I have, I might just skip that part. (I do have a new front seal installed)

Thanks again everyone, I'm still learning how these cars go together.
