W108 250SE Oil seepage from exhaust gasket

Hi All,
I would appreciate your comments and advice regarding oil seepage from #6 cylinder exhaust manifold gasket. I washed the engine last week to determine the source of the oil and to my surprise it was definitely coming from this location. I pulled the spark plug at #6 and it was coated in oil. I removed the other plugs and they were dry and normal in colour.
I am assuming that the oil is entering the cylinder through a worn valve guide or valve stem seal. What are your thoughts and corrective actions?
The motor has plenty of power and does not seem to blow much smoke - only on hard acceleration.
Regards,
Tassie Tiger

The # 6 piston probably has worn rings.

try running a compression test, it will tell you if you are looking at rings or valves. if the comp is low at start add a shot of oil and try again, the oil will temporarily seal up leaky rings. may just even be new valve stem seals if the guides aren't too bad.

Thanks - I will run a compression test and determine if rings are the cause of the oil seepage. I will advise outcomes.
