head rebuild problem

I had the head and injection pump rebuilt. I reassembled the engine and she will not start. I followed the directions in the Mercedes service manual and doubled checked everything.
There is a spark in the ignition cables.
Fuel is getting to the pump.
I am stuck on what the problem is.
Ask me questions and offer suggestions, please.
Thanks

Does the engine have compression? Is fuel getting to each cylinder? Does the cold start squirter squirt?

Yes, Yes, and Yes

You may have the distributor in backwards or the spark plug wires mixed up. The distributor drive dog is offset and can only go in one way, although it looks symetric. Does the crank notch align with the camshaft notch?

Is the injection pump drive sleeve installed, part 153?

the distributer and the spark plug cables are in the correct position. the injection pump sleeve is in.
I'm not sure what you mean buy the notches. Are you referring to the notch that is on top of the camshaft?

What are the compression figures?

It looks like I mixed up the intake and the exhaust in determining TDC. Which means I need to pull of the
injection pump and set up the correct TDC.
