111 Finny wiring HELP

Can anyone tell me the colors and positions of wires on the back of the alternator for my W111 Finny 230S with M180 ???

Thanks a ton, but mine is WAY different to that.

I think it is an alternator, but it DOES seem to have a 'voltage regulator' (?) with 3 wires attached to the right side of the radiator support.

my alternator (?) has 4 posts on the BACK FACE (towards the firewall) VERY near to the exhaust...I will splice in some fresh wire, routed AWAY from the exhaust as much as possible, with a nice, neat 4 pin connector.

ANY guidance at ALL will be extremely helpful

(eg....B+ - red / B- - black w white trace etc etc)

Does it look like this?
If so,it has an external regulator(what you see on the right rad .support)


.However,the connector is 3-pin(on newer models the pins are not round,but flat)...the 3 cables are color coded,will give you the info tomorrow.The 4-th cable is ground,connected to the small 8-mm nut on the generator corpse.

OK....here's what I've got!

FOUR pins:

B+

D+

D-

DF

....and FOUR wires

FAT Red (currently connected to B+)

thin Black

thin Brown

thin Red w blue trace

NOW......what goes to what??????

D-=Brown
DT=red with blue line
BT=THICK RED WITH O RING TO SLIDE ON POST
