Maybe because I paid so little for this car, it was actually OVER 38% IN FEES that I paid out to them on top of the car's price.

Ouch! I'd like to get back on my 6.3 and refocus on it. I bought a fire damaged 6.9 euro car a couple of years ago which was burnt right up to the front of the back doors. I removed the engine from underneath with the subframe. The plan is to install the entire subframe and engine / trans into my non running 6.3 (no idea what's wrong with the engine but the gearbox is toast) which is also a 69 Euro. If I can get this accomplished in 2017. I would be happy.

You gonna just move the engine as-is or are you going to freshen it up? If you're moving it as-is, I can see that. If you plan on taking it apart for valve guides & seals at the minimum, then that becomes a bit harder. It's almost October! Where did this year go?!
If I were in your shoes I'd just swap the transmissions (I assume an M100 transmission is the same, 600 or 6.3 or 6.9 but I may be quite a bit wrong here). The 6.3s are skyrocketing in value and I'm unsure if a 6.3 with a non-original / 6.9 engine would sell for as much, even if it's the more potent Euro 6.9. I have so many project ideas for my old 300M that I want to keep, but I have neither the time nor the depth of pockets needed for pretty much anything other than "Fix it up and drive it" - and with 210k on the engine & trans, even though it runs great, I fear it is only a matter of time until one or the other give in - I'll probably just wind up selling it or even parting and scrapping it if I can't sell it. I would've never even noticed. Thanks! Only took a hair over 15 years!

The engine looks like it's been gone through fairly recently before I pulled it. Everything looks super clean which on a 6.3 is not possible with the engine still in place. All the belts are new, even the boot on the intake manifold looks new. The transmission in the 600 and 6.3 is different to the 6.9. The 6.3's got a fluid coupler 4 speed automatic instead of the 722.0 3 speed that went into the later cars starting 1972.
I want to be realistic and focus on just doing what is needed, maybe adding a sanden a/c compressor and then working on the suspension. Parts on these cars are super expensive and it's easy to spend a whole pile of money and get no where fast if you're not careful. I don't plan on selling this car and I plan on keeping the old engine in case i decide to go through it some day. The chassis numbers on both cars are within 200 and both are Euro 6.3's so i'm not sweating originality so much. I just want to drive it instead of pushing it. I've spent the last 10 years pushing cars from one side of the shop to the other. I just want to drive them now.

By running up this hill! Isn't it amazing how the DFW metroplex looks just like northern California?

So while i was traveling, the kid that i have helping me went down to Houston to pick up my latest purchased. It's a 1984 230CE. Did not run and the interior, including the dash is completely disassembled.
We worked on it all last night , the fuel system was gummed up and the pump was locked up so we replaced the fuel pump, drained the tank and took the injectors out for cleaning. They were so bad that even compressed air at 120psi was not able to pop them. I quick tap on the ground shook them loose and I was able to blow enough brake cleaner and compressed air to get a good spray pattern to get it running. It runs OK but a little rough, I suspect that we'll need to cycle through a couple of tanks of fresh gas before it starts acting right.

And THERE'S your chance to experiment with Mega Squirt!
So, the engine is an M102 with K-Jet, yes? I wonder if it has the same injector bore size as the M102.963 used in the 190-E 2.0L and the W124 200E? Those both have KE-Jet. Wouldn't be too hard of a conversion. You'd need to fab up a throttle position sensor and wiring but 80% or better of the work would already be done using the fuel rail and injectors from the 200E's.

Are those EFI cars? the injectors appear to he the same size as all regular K Jetronic injectors. I actually had 4 or so rubber boots sitting in my toolbox from the last time I went through this effort.
I'd like to put the interior back together first to see what I have before I get into it. This car is light years ahead of the 79 280CE that I bought last year.

Odd , KE-Jetronic on the M117 cars is basically K Jetronic with fuel trim. From a plumbing perspective, it still has the fuel distributor with the hard lines coming out of it to the injector. The injectors are almost identical, they just pop off at different pressure. No fuel rail.

You are correct. I'll dig back though my old research and see where I got the other info.
I ran across the possibility back when I was converting my M115 and it was quite a while ago. Not having any luck. I must have mis-remembered.

I'm guessing it's the post 1992 Euro W124's 200E's which probably had LH Jetronic. They had the M111 engine but would have an EFI fuel rail.
