76 mercedes 280c subframe

does anyone know how to remove and install front subframe mounts in a 76 Mercedes 280c 114073 chassis

Remove 4 screws that hold the sub frame mounts, brake hoses, shocks, front sway bar mounts, steering linkage and it should drop out from under the chassis. This is assuming you have the engine removed first.

If it's close enough to a 76 300D engine, you can do it by jacking up the engine a few inches. At least one of them is a squeeze, but it's possible without removing any other major components. You might find it more difficult on the 280C though, or even easier, but I wouldn't know.

Do one side at a time and disconnect the shocks.
