1974 450 SEL Vacuum Door Locks

Can anyone tell me how to disable the vacuum door locking system? It has stopped working properly. Thanks.

You don't need to disable it, just track down the leaks. Little vacuum lines run though the car to operate the vacuum valves. You could also use the vasuum pump from a W126, located in the truck with the spare tire.

If you look under the hood you'll see two yellow vacuum tubes coming from the firewall on the drivers side just next to the fuse box. One tube has a stripe and one is solid yellow. Just remove the solid tube from it's rubber connector and plug it off. Also plug the connector where it came out. I had to do this until I had time to fix the leak, which was in the switch in the drivers door.
