I know, you levitated your vehicle and for a period of 5 years using nothing but a small soft polishing cloth and some carnuba wax, polished the underside until your reflection was shining in each part!
Seriously, I noticed that the return line was connected to the bleed screw fitting on the fuel pump and not routed back to the gas tank....Any thoughts on this set-up? Thanks |

Thanks...........
I posted on the forum regarding the tee you have in the line for the return and was advised to just run the return directly back to the tank. I am curious to know if this advice may have been incorrect for my application and or the reason for the tee in the return. Is your a vehicle a 71 280se with 6 cylinder? Your 280se should be the envy of most of the grease hands out here although I should speak for myself about that. Thanks again for the pics-they are Great! |

More pics can be seen here. Sorry about the red tinge on some of the photos as there was a large red toolbox located on the drivers side of the car for the pics of the underside. Last edited by 280SE Guy; 12-01-2008 at 04:29 AM. Reason: corrected year of pic (1989 not 1979) |

T return is for a loop to prevent vapor lock on the newer style pump, as they are submerged pumps....but it has been found that the precaution was not needed , so very few do that mod without any ill effects.
It is always recommended on these pumps to turn the key to Run for 10 secs before engagement of the starter to clear any posssible VP in the feed/return lines anyway.

Nice car, your 108! Seldom I see anything that clean, much less the underside of a car.. How do you keep it that way? Many parts replaced?

Actually that was a 1988 Saab, my ex's. Thanks for the comments. Not too many parts were replaced, just many parts cleaned up, the axle assy. was repainted, and some yellow cad. parts replated. Which one with the turbo engine? The 280SE is a gas model. The Saab was not a turbo version but it was an option I believe.
