I love it. It would be a very cool project to convert to a camper. It even has the winch and appears to include a large log on the platform.

Lots of work, but it would be worth it in the end.

Sheeeit,I wish i could afford to ship that here! I know someone in Roswell too!
Perhaps he could store it at his house until the 'F/C " is over.
This what I would build it into.

I think somewhere around $6000.00us to ship to Australia.... plus import duties. Have to go RoRo or sling to deck cargo.....shoot, it couldn't get more rusty...oh I dunno though!.

He says he'd take trades.

What do you think it is worth though.?

You could maybe make a nice roll back out of it. That could come in handy.

As it happens I am rebuilding a cabrio for a customer who has shipped motorhomes into Australia. The trick is to use a Frame ( looks like a container without a roof or sides) so that the shippers don't crush the roof. Freight costs have dropped dramatically in the last 7 weeks but as with other things the money isn't comming in fast enough to spend. Body rust is nothing on a bus ,just remove the sides and replace them with new alloy. Theres neglible taxes and because it's over 30 years old it can be registered for road use as left hand drive. The only thing that would prevent it from being used is that it may be too wide for our road laws regarding width.
Value? depends how badly someone wants it.

Front log?

I think the front "log" has been misidentified. This looks more like a wheel chock to me. A very usefull "option" when parking on hills and your parking brake is out.

It is also biodegradeable, and it floats!

I did see one of these about twenty years ago that a fellow in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area both lived in and worked out of. He sold welding supplies out of the back to small shops and lived in the front of the bus at an RV park. He did not get rich on this, but he did not die from to much stress.
