Need coolant drain plug to finish my rebuild 8)

Okay, so the head on my 1968 MB 250 was totally shot (LOL exhaust was actually streaming out the oil filler cap!). Took it in to the friendly folks at my local machine shop, very helpful. Complete rebuild, valves/valve seats reground, new guides, welded a crack, one new spark plug thread, resurfaced, yada yada. Everything looks peachy, re-installed the rebuilt head, pretty straight forward, no major drama. Changed the oil, new points, re-checked the timing, new plugs, last thing before i turn it over gota refill the radiator with antifreeze.... but wait whats that noise... sounds like a waterfall??
Seams the machine shop lost the drain plug on the side of the head and i cant find one here at the local recyclers.
So please, does anyone have a coolant drain plug for me, it screws in on the drivers side of the head between the #2 and #3 spark plug.

Many thanks in advance
Burkster

If you cannot find one in the metric section of the local ACE hardware, then I'd give the folks at the Classic Center a call. Tom Hanson knows the availability of virtually any MB spare.

there's no drain plug there. that's about where the coolant temp sensor should be. Did you hook that back up? -CTH
