Another Euro 280CE surfaces
It's a late model and it seems to have had the big bumpers put on. I contacted the seller and asked for a picture of the engine. It's definitely a 280CE and a nice one at that.

That third brake light really sticks out like a sore thumb to me. Absent a convertible I prefer the retro fit within the back glass.

That's funny... I think the one that takes the biscuit is my 350SL. The floor seems to have rusted from the inside out and while some areas look quite solid, prodding it reveals that there is no metal, just under seal.

1974 was the first year of the mandatory big, ugly bumpers on imports to the US - thus, bastardizing the MBZ look. So I would sooner think that someone added the Euro headlights and wasn't fortunate enough to find replacement Euro bumpers for this car. It is nice though, once you get passed the 2 feet of bumper on either end.
