114/115 Transmission Compatibility
While I'm already currently most of the way through swapping a used automatic in place of the fried old one from my 114, I just found out where there's a '71 220D manual transmission parts car. I was wondering if the manual and associated parts from the 220D will swap over to the 250. Flywheel? Clutch?

Your deal killers are going to be the shift linkage and driveshaft.
Both are 6 cylinder/manual specific. Jim

Converting to a stickshift was something I used to daydream about, back when I was driving my '72 250.
Driveshafts and shifter linkages can be modified, but I would think finding a 6-cylinder clutch-flywheel could be a major block.to your conversion. I don't think you can use the 220D flywheel. Happy Motoring, Mark
