Thankyou so much for the pictures, a fantastic help.

If anyone has old parts (I need headrests - the rail things they slide into - and the acctual vertical rails to rivet the other rails to! - also all the rubber clips etc) I have parchment interior - an off white/creamy colour. Id appreciate any sort of cheap old seconds. It doesnt have to be perfect.

As amazing luck has it i've found someone with the same colour leather (mb text) headrests as mine. One query - they sent some photos and i notice that they dont have that little hole in the side of them (where you adjust movability) does this mean they dont pull forward? If so Im not as interested - but if they still do thats fine. heres a few photos

I just had to tighten the drivers side headrest on my 1972 280SE 4.5.

My headrests do not have 5mm allen bolts that control the tightness of the headrests swiveling forward and back.

My headrests have 10mm bolts.
