Need a crash course on 113 mechanical fuel injection

recently purchased my newest addition to my family. My birth year, 1965 230SL. Very excited to get her running again but am having trouble finding documentation regarding the mechanical fuel injection. Stuck on how much pressure is needed to open the fuel injectors. Have fuel up the rails but not enough to open the injectors to provide fuel into cylinders. Any help or links to docs would be appreciated

Posting this in the vintage forum would likely yield more replies.

You'll find a lot of info here.

and in engines

especially the 'Linkage Tour' at the top. There are also pictures of a disassembled injection pump in various threads and poster ja17 is a W113 expert.
