Trip went well!
Just drove Tabitha 300Km round trip, and I must say I seriously underestimated this car! Aside from needing a GPS to be sure how fast I was going, it was a relatively uneventful trip.
100Km/h(real speed) 90Km/h(speedo) so I'm 10% out. this is a trip that I've made quite a few times, as it is the neearest international airport. It's approximately 150Km each way on some pretty busy highway. I need to tighten something in my steering column, get my tires balanced and my wheels aligned. Need weatherstrip. I can also see a brake job in my not too distant future.. I also burned considerably less fuel than I was expecting. I expected at LEAST a half tank there and a half back. but even bucking a nasty crosswind, it had no trouble staying at the speed limit, and I burned only just over a quarter tank. I've made the trip in a 5-speed topaz that took more fuel. Overall I'm happy and impressed, and That car is a BLAST to drive on the highway. gonna do it all again tomorrow! EDIT: The only really annoying thing was the seats REALLY hurt my ass. Seriously. is there anything I can do about that? even after a half hour in the city my butt falls asleep will seat covers do the trick?

Simple, just put in the new pads.
Seats are part of the suspension system between the hard road surface and the soft butt surface. |
