69 280SE Vacuum Leak
My 69 280SE has a very fast idle. When I step on the brakes to move the car sometimes it stalls (before putting it in gear).
The transmission also flares alot also. I am thinking this may all be due to a vacuum leak. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance... Greg |

There is a little round 1 way valve in line in the plastic brake booster hose (from booster to manifold). It may have failed and is letting vac run both ways which is why you stall when you tap the brake pedal. It may be the culprit. I had one fail on me.
Just a shot! STS |
