DIY Fluid change

Im no newbie to repairing cars, just when it comes to older vehicles haha. I got me a 1962 w110 190c, now how much oil does it use and what kind is appropriate... Also how easy is it to do the trans fluid? and what kind and how much?

and yes i did search but couldnt find anything close to what i was looking for

A "Bump" with a frown and a "WOW' in less than a couple of hours ????????????????????????

Is this a "Call Center " ?

So it is.... my time error.

You will have good luck with Cartrol 20/50 on that engine. [ unless in winter climates]

And Dextron/Mercron -3 ATF is fine for trans
I will see if I can look up capacities.

Crankcase ..Max 4.25 quarts
Filter - 1 pint

Man trans - 3 pints
Auto - 7.5 pints

I have tons of lit here from over the years and I was a Collector at one time, so...sometimes I know stuff.

..but I can't Dance or play da Pie-anna........

Question transmission slip

U advised to change fluid and filter. excuse my ignorance, but where is the drain plug? and filter located on my '79 450sl? Also, how difficult is the process?

A Bump is another request for an answer to the orig. post.

Bump: -- A Post Refresher.

Seldom used , and not cool if one has just posted recently and has not the patience to wait for an answer...

..but perfectly Ok if time has lapsed , as in this case.
Most often used when a post has lapsed long enough to be off the first Posting page, in which case it often will not get notice. A Bump will bring it back to Real-Time posting.
