New Auxiliary Air Valve on M117

Pulled my AAV yesterday and figured out why my idle has been so erratic, the piston inside seems to be stuck wide open, doesn't even budge when submerged in boiling hot water. So was wondering if anyone had an extra one they'd be willing to part with since these things are so hard to find. Or, does anyone know which Bosch valves are compatible with the M117 valve. I found a few online from Bosch, but listed for 1977 Mercedes 280E, and the body looks shorter, but the base looks the same and both use the same gasket. here are pics of the one for the 280 E:

I'd try cleaning first with carb cleaner and a few whacks with a hammer. If that doesnt free it, a few harder whacks and some brake cleaner. After all, what do you have to lose?

I'm sure someone who's parted out a 4.5 can spare one - I sent my spare to a forum-goer a while ago!

If all else fails you might try the rebuild idea outlined in this Jaguar article:
