Brake Lights on Instrument panel at start-up - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I have a 1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has one and can tell me if the Brake Light on the instrument panel lights up when the car is started. I've heard no and I've heard yes, even Mercedes isn't certain. The Mercedes Mechanic's advise was to ask someone who drives one. So I asking....

If it stays on all the time, then reset the switch on the master cylinder.
