Parking brake light stuck?

Howdy all!
My 79 300sd has decided that the parking brake light should be on all the time now. Started the other day while I was driving. Quite honestly, I don't think the brake is even hooked up to the cable!
Should my 1st check be electrical or brake hose? Brake cable?
Thanks for the advice!

Check the fluid level in the master reservoir to be sure it is not the low fluid lamp you are seeing.

There's a reset switch on a 79 SD?

I know the 123s have one, so I am guessing the 116s have one as well.

What would the reset switch do after you added fluid and the little floats went back up ?
