Driver's window replacement W111 - How does this fit in there??

Due to track rust I also have to replace the driver's window, which thankfully I have, and upon first glance I don't see an easy way to get it in there. The Star Classic CD gave a point in the right direction but I was hoping that one of you guys would have a trick to doing this.

Thanks guys and wish me luck with my knocking problem!

W111 coupe OR sedan?
Manual or electric?
Exactly what part do you need?

I just did this job a few months ago so it is a bit fuzzy, but I am pretty sure you just take the door panels off, carefully, and then take off the furry strip that the window passes as it comes up out of the door. Then you have to find the screws that hold the vertical tracks in place. Unscrew those and wiggle those tracks and get them out of your way. Then after unscrewing the two bottom screws that grip the bottom of the window, you can start to wiggle the window and turn it diagonally so that the corner (back corner I think) pops up through the top slot where it usually travels. Grab that corner and pull it out through the top on the inside side of the window frame. Same exact thing going back in. You can get those little pivots that attach the window handle arm to bottom of the window pretty cheap too if you need them.

I think that is it for the '66 230s.

Sedan, manual, and installing the main glass.

I'll give that a try Scutch. We did have to replace the fuzzy rail because it had a rusted part, which is what caused the glass to break in the first place. The panel is off as we are swapping the black interior for the palemino from the 68. We are tending to the knocking problem first (see my other thread) and then getting the glass in. We hope to have it done by Tuesday so we can drive it away from the wedding, or atleast hope it doesn't rain :) and hope the knock can be easily solved.

Thanks again guys! I'll keep you posted.
