W107 electrical help
Hi, all! Recently acquired a '73 W107. After being repaired at the body shop due to a fender-bender, it ran fine for a couple of days. Then, one evening, we noticed we had only one front light and no dash lights. Next morning, nothing electrical is working. Turn the key, nothing. No interior lights when doors are opened, no "noises" when the key is turned. I've got the shop electrical diagram, and have checked all fuses, which are good. I've checked and cleaned all wire connections at the battery, and ground cable at the chassis. Everything (to me) points to a faulty relay, (item 32 on my diagram -- Main relay, electronic injection or item 31, Relay, air conditioner/starter). My problem is, I can't find where these relays are. I think I see some under the passenger dash, but can't get to them.
Any ideas? |

Take a V reading of the battery ....then run a jumper cable from bat neg to engine ground and see if it will turn over...

Resolved!
Checked voltage at the alternator, and found it was there. No voltage at the fuse block, so knew I was losing it somewhere (
