Question about dropping rear axle

Does anyone have any hints on how to break free the 19mm bolt that's attached to the unibody (up and at an angle from the center of the axle towards the passenger side) underneath the car? The two arms w/ four bolts, as well as everything I can take off in the trunk (shocks and axle mount) seem to be doable, but that last one is a total pain!

Also, how many bolts do I have to remove to drop the trans (200D)?

Please tell us the model and year.

It's a 200D (last sentence of the post ;)), so 65-68, although I don't know exactly what year it was.

If it's the one I think it is, I did it maybe 15 years ago on a 1967 220D. Very difficult to access, plus road crud WILL be in there.

Buy some Kroil, apply liberally for two days, work it SLOWLY with a long braker bar to avoid shearing, consider tightening a tiny bit first just to create some space to "rock, as you move it a little, then add some more Kroil.

Give it THIRD DAY IF YOU NEED TO. THIS IS A 14MM X 1,5 MM THREAD, AND LOOSER THAN MANY,

YOU NEED TO GET THE PENETRATING OIL DEEP IN THE THREADS TO WASH AWAY THE CRUD THAT OBSTRUCTS MOVEMENT DOWN THE THREAD.

OR YOU WILL BUST IT :(:(:(

SLOW AND STEADY WINS THIS RACE. GOOD LUCK!!

Guess I should have gone after the smaller (14mm?) bolt above/to the PS of the 19mm one. Btw, do you still want the knob/resistor?
