W115 rear lighting woes
1974 230.4 W115/M115
My left rear tail light assembly has problems. The brake light and the turn signal sockets just won't hold a bulb securely. I can carefully insert a bulb and move it around until it lights properly, but after driving over a couple of bumps, the bulbs wiggle out of proper position and no longer light. Yes, I've bought new bulbs. Is there a simple fix for this? I thought not. Now, can I disassemble the tail light assembly and replace the sockets themselves? I see that 1156 sockets with pigtails are available. Thanks in advance, John |
