81.4 foot pounds (110 Nm). Book says recheck to this torque on a hot engine. The smaller bolts at the front of the head are 19 foot pounds (25Nm).

Are you just checking the torque settings or are pulling the head off and starting with a new gasket. If your doing the latter, there is a specific sequence in tighting the bolts. It is not only the bolt sequence but also a gradual increase in torque settings in reaching the final torque.
When I rebuild the head on my engine last year I ran into a lot of problems when I did not follow the procedure exactly.
If you need list of the procedure let me know.
Good luck
