Light Switch Question

Hello-

I have question about the head light switch on my 1973 280. Is the green piece of plastic in the middle a light? Is so, when does it light up?

Thanks for your help ,
Shea

Rear Fog?

Is your car Euro?

Not sure with a 73 280, but on my Euro W123's there is an orange piece of plastic in the middle of the light switch. It turns on when the rear fog lights are activated. (pull once = front fog lamps, pull one more time = rear fog lamp)

FWIW,

On the light switch behind that wee tiny plastic green lens is a wee tiny bulb. I think it's a fog light ON indicator. On with one pull. I could never get mine to work on my 250C with the factory fog lights. Everything functioned except that damn wee teeny green light. I even changed the bulb and hired wee faries to clean the socket but alas, nuttin.

FWIW,
No mine isn't a Euro. I haven't tried to see if works when I turn the fog lights on. I try it and let you know.

I tired mine but it doesn't seem to work. How does one replace the light inside?

Thanks for your help ,
