mystery bulbs? 70' 250C

Hello, after cleaning the glass lenses on my 70 250C, I noticed some small bulbs at the very bottom that seem to serve no purpose, they look like small halogen type. Am I missing something? I am not talking about the 'park" bulbs, which work fine. Danke

Probably the small 5 watt "roadside parking" bulbs. Turn the light switch to the left (CCW) of the "off" position and check for power to the light sockets. One click should be left side and the second click should be right side. Designed for overnight parking on the narrow European streets.

could also, if euro lights, be considered DDL ( daylight driving lights)

glass lens implies euro lights..

...if so, then from top to bottom:

Top, amber lens, turn signal.

Middle, headlight, hi-low, also has 5w city light.

Bottom, fog light, also has capacity for a 5w city light.

I've got both middle and bottom city lights hooked up on my 71 250C.

What kind of mileage does your "engine" get out of those tennis shoes?

Same as Fred Flintstone.

That's my oldest daughter a few years ago, she declared the 250C "her" car when she was around 13. Her starter car at 16 was an 83 300SD, and I told her if she could get six months out of it without an accident, I'd replace the engine in the 250C and let her drive it.

She did, I did.

Jim
