280S TBI Megasquirt I am Ready, need help with Parts

Guys, i just received my Megasquirt ECU and Wiring. I want to do a TBI Setup, however i am lacking the fuel pump, Throttle Body an adapter plate.

Most TBI Units i am finding on Ebay are around $100 to $150 supposedly "remanufactured" lile this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/100-Remanufactured-GM-twin-inj-TBI-1987-95-new-bearing_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem563706c7ceQQitemZ370290378702QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5f Accessories

however i cant trust them for the inyectors nor the gaskets.

i need help from someone in the USA, i live in Honduras and there isnt much american car junkyards around here, to help me get a decent TBI Unit from a chevy 4.3 engine, running if possible, plus the TBI adapter and ship it over Fedex up to Honduras. I would be glad to pay in advance thru money transfer to anyone known in the forums.

Photos coming soon

I'll hunt around to see if I can find one in good condition. Find out from your Customs agency what it takes for you to import one from the USA and let me know.

I have one in my garage off a 4.3 V6, I bought it from Ebay for $56 IIRC. Never installed it in my astro van. It's been in a plastic bag since 1996 when I bought it. I had gotten parts fron this supplier before and they were always find. I can't test it, let me know if your interested price is $10 USD plus shipping cost. $10 cover's my time and gas as I have a M110 LOL. I would guess 90 percent sure it would work for you. It almost went in trash this moring but I forgot to take trash to compactor.

That's exactly what he needs for the M110. The injectors for the 4.3 are small enough to work with the motor and bore pattern is right.

I tend to agree.

cheapold280ce, if the gentleman finds an alternative throttle body closer to home I have the same project going on at a less advanced stage and would
love to put that in my pile of conversion parts.

Takernz_30: around $350 for the ECU and wiring. I am going for the unit without spark, just with a rpm signal from the coil negative, stay tuned for pictures

Post up some pictures, I really want to do this mod to my dad's car with a Solex (if we can't get the solex to run better with some simple tinkering). Once you get everything up and running a estimated tally of $ spent would be cool as well.

One question are you using a self made megasquirt controller or using the pre-made weather tight microsquirt box?

Also, are you running a pertronix ignition? Just wondering as my plans are for one with the microsquirt.

Best of luck!!!
