4x4 W115 sighted in Bay City, MI

I don't know what kind of hillbilly 'tard it took to dream this one up, but I saw a red W115 on Wilder Ave near Henry St. in Bay City MI that almost made me cry today.

The body was apparently lifted onto a Chevrolet 4x4 chassis, swamp tires and all.

For the love of Crom. I started screaming and pointing at it and my wife thought I had gone insane. I watched it drive past; grizzly white-bearded hillbilly at the wheel. I wish I had regained my composure in time to snap a pic with my cellphone. I'm sure I'll see it again.

WOW. I have seen it done to a W123, but not a W115. Why would anyone do that to a Mercedes...... Take a pic next time.

Chances are the car was headed to the bone yard any way. That was just his way of recycling. I think that it's a great idea to reuse a car that was destined to become a KIA or a Hyundai.
