Do you know the identity of your wire wheels? I'm uncertain about mine though I have yet to pull them off the car.

Thanks! Yes, the wheels are actually true Dayton wires. Dated back to be actual "Period correct" wheels. I cant remember the exact date, but it was said to be around 67'. Pretty neat IMO.

Wire Wheel Owners Inside Joke.

I always recall one of Peter Eagans stories where he was driving an English Kit car across the United States (this is the same man who drove a Citroen 2CV across the northwestern US.) and he pulled into a service station. There were absolutely NO markings identifying the car, and it was obvious the attendant was trying to figure out what it is by looking for markings anywhere on the car. He ended up saying "What year UNDO is that sir?" Classic.

If you've never owned knock-off wheels you'll have no idea what I'm talking about. It's ok. You'll live.
