heater fan motor question
I've been thru the heater fan rigamarole with my SD in the -30 dead of winter.
The heater fan in my SEL is making a sort of buzzing sound. Still blowing strong and works well. Is this sound an indication of eminent failure? is there anything that I can do now at this point to prolong the life of the motor? or start saving for a new one? EDIT: The buzzing sound is only audible OUTSIDE the vehicle. I can't hear it from the inside.

Look for debris in the intake area. One time a plastic bag got sucked into the fan area and made a heck of a noise. It's worth a try.
