450SEL Conversion
I was wondering if anyone knows how hard it would be to swap the 300SD engine into a 450SEL. I would like the longer wheelbase of the 450SEL and think it might provide more under hood room for intercoolers and other super turbo goodies. Anybody have any ideas? Also is the passenger compartment the same size for both W116 chasis? Is the extra length on the 450SEL only in the front end from the cab forward?

The extra length of the 450SEL is only in the rear doors (more legroom for the passengers in back), so no extra room under the hood. I know where there is a 450SEL with 300SD engine for sale (not cheap).
