108 Trunk Panels

Does anyone have or can tell me where to find pictures showing how the trunk panels mount in a 1971 280se? The panels (coverings according to Mercedes) were missing from my car when it was given to me for my birthday in 1999. I purchased the left side from Mercedes but the right side is NLA. So, my questions: does anyone have pictures showing how they mount, does anyone have a right hand side panel for sale or can someone make a outline drawing from a good RH panel showing all the holes, notches, etc. and I will try to make one. Also, is there supposed to be a panel in the forward end of the trunk? Any help or info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jerry

I'm pretty sure the panels simply fit in place. Perhaps you can find the right side panel at a recycler. There was no panel in the forward section of the trunk. The only other two coverings are the large rubber trunk mat and rubber mat in the left wheel well.

Jerry,

I am in Houston. If you come down here I will let you make a pattern from my W108 trunk panels. I don't have any special reason to visit Dallas any time soon, but if I do I will let you know I am heading up your way.

Did you see the 1971 in this thread? It is worth a look, even a stare!

Tell me about the W108...

You might check the Pick-N-Pull on Loop 12 between Grand Prairie's Main street and I-30. They sometimes have old 108's in there.

You might also check with some of the wrecking yards on 287 in Kennedale. I have found a few older cars in there at times.

Thanks to all for your info, I will try your suggestions. Jeffery, yes, I ruined my keyboard drooling over that outstanding example of a 108!! My 108 is nowhere that good, I use the pictures to determine how mine should look and for reference.
Thanks to all
Jerry
