fuel problem w115

Hello,

We have a 1970 mercedes 220 (see our album) w115 and lately a problem has occured.
When we press the accelerator strong especially on a rise road it does some discontinuance and the engine finally stops.
Before that fact the car had some leak from the fuel lines in the engine and we changed them.
Do the filters need cleaning?

Unless you've added some fuel filters, I do not believe that these have filters. The mechanical fuel pump may have a screen filter for on the inlet side of the filter. You may want to check this for obstruction.

Also, in the fuel tank there should be a screen that traps sediments and particles.
