12 Steps for Classic Car Fiends

How about this for 12 steps:

1. We admitted that we were powerless over mechanical or electrical things that break

2. We came to believe that our car could be fixed

3. We made a decision to ask for help and seek solutions from total strangers who care.

4. We made a searching and fearless inventory of what it would take to restore our lump of metal into a Classic Mercedes worthy of love and excitement.

5. We admitted to our significant others, ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of what is wrong.

6. We were entirely ready to get greasy and dirty and start the project or projects.

7. We asked a friend to help.

8. We made a list of all the projects that needed to be done to preserve, restore and maintain our Classic Car.

9. We started doing projects that would make the car safe to drive again, making sure that we maintained what was good, preserved what could be saved, and restored what was broken or missing.

10. We continued to look at our list of things to do, adding items when new problems were discovered and feeling good about what was accomplished.

11. We made new friends and shared our experience when someone else was searching for help; we learned that we are not helpless and strength is available to fix anything.

12. Having had a fulfilling experience as a result of these steps, we tried to carry a message of hope and transformation to those seeking solutions with generosity and goodwill as primary motivations.

It is funny, But kind of insulting when I have been through all the NA stuff. I haven't been on in a while. 1. Because I moved and don't have internet where I'm staying, and 2. My car is running again! Although the Alternator just went out and I'm about to drive her with a over night triple charge to the shop to get that changed on the bushing on the outside of the transmission. Yes I'm still clean my curious peachpart's friends!

It is not meant to be funny or insulting to anyone. It is what it is. Don't curse the dark when you can turn on a light. The twelve steps are a path leading to wellness and freedom. When you read what they are all about, it doesn't sound difficult or painful, it is just a different way to live.

I know, I didn't mean to come off like that. But yeah I did like it. Btw My car is driving awesome now. I can't wait to go to Melted Pandas camp out, and someone can finally tell me what they think personally how she runs.

glad to hear you are well NIK, that was our hope all along, having the car running well is icing on the cake.
Still working out the details on the gtg, trying to do a dual gtg with the benzobsession gang.
