instrument pod = instant tendonitis

I just hot wired the rheostat on my 72 280SE 4.5 so I could have dash lights. Getting the instrument pod out was torture. I'm thinking of training my 7yr. old daughter for this sort of thing, with those small hands it would be a snap. For me however it was an ordeal, why would they engineer something so insidious, however it did not draw blood which is more than I can say for some of my forays under the dashes of some domestics.
Can the heater lever unit be removed intact or do they have to be removed individually?

"Can the heater lever unit be removed intact or do they have to be removed individually?"

The levers come out as a complete assembly. Start training the seven year old, cuz you're gonna be pulling the instrument cluster ;). Follow the links below to get a fair how-to for the heater levers on a 108. At least this time I'll be on firmer ground :o .

There is an excellent article on replacing the heater levers by our own Randy Durrance in the current issue of The Star.
