DIY Advice on 1973 280SE 4.5

I will be receiving my new to me 1973 280SE 4.5 next week. The PPI identified some items needing attention. I have little to no wrenching experience, but think I want to try some things myself. Here's the list - looking for advice on which ones I should think about doing myself and degree of difficulty.
- left lower and upper heater levers need replacing
- rubber door seals need replacing
- missing bushing in transmission linkage
- trans cooler hoses old
- missing rubber grommet on transmission cooling line
- turn signal flashers won't hold and flash fast
- one window inop, other three are "jerky"
- front dome light assembly bad
- front flex disc cracking
Thanks for your input.

All those items are easy to replace. What you don't report is anything about teh front suspension, rear suspension and the engine vacuum lines, including the rubber seal rings between the manifold halves.

Who did the PPI and how experienced are they in that vintage Mercedes?

Seals

Door seals are easy to replace but VERY expensive to purchase.

Plenty of threads on the windows...I searched for them the other day here.

Turn signals, same thing on how to make them stay. Regarding them flashing fast, they were replaced with a bulb that wasn't rated the same. Many aftermarket bulbs do this and manufacturers design them like this so people realize when a turn signal bulb has gone bad.

Thanks - will search the posts for the technical info, but was concerned about the degree of difficulty of some of these things for a novice with little to no wrenching skills. I don't want to create bigger issues (read: more expense).

I had the PPI done by Don Pool Mercedes, a consistently recommended dealer who still works on this model. The front and rear suspension check out fine as did the idling and running of the engine. I only mentioned the things needing attention in my post. Everything else was reported to be in good shape with close to $20K in maintenance from 1997 to now.

I am looking forward to getting her and getting the identified items addressed. Thanks again for the help to a novice.
