280CE Exhaust Suggestions
Well my 280CE has become pretty loud and its due to a rusty exhaust system.
There are some small holes between the cat and the resonator. The resonator has a pretty big hole in the top of it..... There are some more holes between the the resonator and the muffler. I was wondering what it sound like if I were to have it running on just a cat and a muffler? Would it be a lot louder without a resonator? Thanks in advance.

I don't believe the resonators are available any longer. You'd probably have to go to an aftermarket supplier.
It's not really louder as much as it's a different sound. That sweet throaty sound the M110 makes when it's at about 3k and pulling hard is gone and you just have exhaust noise. Nothing vulgar, just not the "Benz" sound. |

Well right now all I can hear is loud exhaust leak, so anything is probably an improvement. Wonder how it would be with only a muffler, no cat, no resonator. I'd imagine that would be kinda rough on the ears.... Anyone done it?
